William does not like his sister’s birthday party. He ONLY likes sharks and wonders how they feel about parties. He decides to set off alone to explore the ocean and find a shark who will answer his question. Along the way he meets a variety of sea animals who cannot help him find a shark. When he does eventually meet a shark, will it be safe conversation and…do sharks like parties?

This is a story full of creativity and imagination with its light-hearted text flowing cohesively. The glorious illustrations are rich in detail encouraging readers to look deeply. Of particular note is the jellyfish trying to pull William to safety which creates both humour and tension. The use of the underwater light to highlight key focal points is a skilful addition which draws the reader in and further enhances the reading experience. A great read.
